My Journey & Work Experience

I have worked as a server at Famous Freddie’s Roadhouse for the past three summers and continue to do so today. Working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment has strengthened my communication skills, efficiency, and ability to build strong customer relationships. I regularly engage guests by explaining menu offerings, selling specials, and promoting events, which has helped increase sales and overall engagement. This experience has strengthened transferable skills such as audience awareness, persuasive communication, and customer retention.

Regal Cinemas — Cashier

November 2021 – February 2023

At Regal Cinemas, I gained experience in customer service, sales, and digital content creation. Along with managing ticket and concession sales, I helped create and manage content for the theater’s TikTok account, producing creative videos that increased local visibility and audience interaction. This role sparked my interest in social media marketing and demonstrated how digital content influences brand perception and customer engagement.

Goldfish Swim School — Swim Instructor

May 2021- October 2021

As a swim instructor at Goldfish Swim School, I taught young children foundational swim skills in a safe and supportive environment. This role strengthened my patience, adaptability, and ability to communicate clearly with both children and parents. It also reinforced a people-first mindset and my interest in work centered on connection, support, and meaningful impact.
